Hardrocks Limited, a quarry operation, was incorporated in 1983 by Paul Xuereb as a joint venture with his brother (Angelo Xuereb).
Paul Xuereb entered into a joint venture to build 8 Villa Apartments at Bramble Garlands, Kappara.
Paul Xuereb developed 17 Apartments held for rent at 217, Naxxar.
By shifting the business model to property development held for rent, the Naxxar Yard started being developed into Hardrocks Business Park. PX Lettings today holds 66% of the whole development. Developed in 3 phases, PX Lettings owns warehouses of various sizes, a central car park and office space of 2000m2 on the upper floors of the carpark.
Paul Xuereb entered into a joint venture to develop Orange Grove, Balzan.
Paul Xuereb entered into a joint venture with Joseph Sammut to establish U-Store and U-Recycle, a storage and recycling operation respectively. Today, U-Recycle Ltd is one of the leading recycling private operations in Malta.
PX Company entered into a joint venture to establish PX Solar Ltd through which a 1.3 Megawatt PV plant was developed on the rooftops at Hardrocks Business Park.
As the quarry ceased operation, the Mġarr quarry was, under the supervision of ERA, refilled with inert waste and rehabilitated with 3,300 indigenous trees.
PX Company together with Solar Solutions and AX Group, secured a permit to establish a 5.4Megawatt PV plant on the site of the former quarry in Mġarr. The plant became operational in April 2020.
